MESSAGE SENT ON BEHALF OF SOSHA THOMAS, GROSSMONT COLLEGE INSTRUCTOR
Hello:
I am the “Effective Job Search” instructor in Business Office Technology at Grossmont College. To build a successful experience for my students, I am looking to place students as interns in various organizations so they can learn from this “real world” experience.
Internships are quickly becoming one of the most important experiences in every college student’s career. For many of our students here at Grossmont College, completing an internship is a way of proving oneself to land a job. The benefit for an employer is also immense, as bringing on interns can lighten your workload or even enhance your organization. These are talented students that you can interview and then select one as an intern who will best fit your organization. Hiring interns in your organization can create a talent pipeline for future entry-level job openings.
Starting off a professional as an intern not only provides them with the necessary experience to excel in their field, but also gives you the opportunity to evaluate and assess them for the potential to grow in your organization.
If you are interested in hiring one of our students as an intern, please contact me for further information. Our internship program for the winter session begins January 2, 2020, and ends February 24, 2020. Our interns are required to complete 60 unpaid hours during this timeframe.
